Allard-Europe N.V. has successfully cast parts with a pouring weight of 12 tons and sections up to 300 mm in duplex stainless steel with the typical 50/50 ferrite-austenite microstructure in the cast parts. Extensive research, supported by IWT, in cooperation with Sirris and InsPyro, lead to the required knowhow to achieve the required properties at these extreme wall thickness.

Magotteaux Int. is developing new metal/ceramic composite materials for wear resistant applications. To develop those materials efficiently we need to use thermodynamic calculations. We asked InsPyro for their support to make the calculations and advice to interpret the results. InsPyro helped us to get quick results to specific needs with professional advice. This allows Magotteaux to speed up the development of new products.
As you can see from the logos above, InsPyro is a consultant, R&D partner and/or software supplier to many of the leading non-ferrous metal and steel production plants. In lead recycling and primary production, there are for instance FMM (Recylex), BBH Stolberg (Berzelius, Eco-Bat), STCM, and Campine Recycling in Belgium, Germany, France.
For zinc, references are Recytech, Eras Metal in Norway, Nyrstar, a global primary zinc player, and EverZinc, formerly the Zinc Chemicals division of the Umicore group.
